About Rosewood Furniture

Rosewood is one of the most important timber trees in Burma, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Brazil and India. It is the most prized wood and which commands the highest prices for the household furniture since ancient time by the Chinese.

Rosewood, a very hard, dense wood with a very fine closed grain, has become a rare and expensive wood
used for the making of high-grade furniture today. It has smooth surface, cold to the touch, very heavy and very durable. It possesses a slight aromatic scent or delicate rose-like odor. It has various depths of color which ranges from honey yellow to orange to reddish-brown, and from dark red to rich red. Rosewood has beautiful grain, which sometimes forms abstract patterns that look like the veining on marble or burl wood. Rosewood ages up to 200 years before it is cut and made into furniture. It is now under strict government regulations to cultivate the rosewood tree to ensure reforestation. Rosewood uses for our furniture collection
is selected from the finest plantation grown rosewood, which has immediate supply of rosewood logs all year round to our factory in China.

Raw wood materials are kiln dried to maximum moisture of 10–12% before they are passed through the next procedure of woodworking. Each member of furniture is jointed and assembled into unique piece of furniture
by our ancient traditional techniques of dovetail, mortise and tenoned, and/or tongue and groove with floating panel. There are no metal nails, screws, glue where it may be avoided, unless absolutely necessary. Each
piece is carved into an intricate design of embossed or cut-through carving by hand of highly skilled craftsmen.
Tree-sap and plaster are used to smooth wooden surface and then tree–sap polishes are applied at least 6–7 times. No coloring matter was added to the polishing process. Our furniture with tree sap finish will stay shiny without any other special treatment. All the furniture is professionally wrapped and packed for container shipments at site.

Today we proudly stand by our reputation as the manufacturer of fine solid rosewood furniture, which
combine the timeless design and finest craftsmanship with function on to the most valuable wood available
for furniture world.
